Ever since I was a little girl, I've shown qualities of my father through habits and interests.  His love for aviation, the internet, and the farm has always intrigued me.  Thanks to him, he's given my brother and I the balance of traveling around the globe to having us spend summers with my 'country cousins' in rural Nebraska.  My dad resides in the middle east so it's always a treat whenever he comes home to the mil and I take advantage of every second.  Happy Birthday Dad and Safe Travels tomorrow!!

Marni's collaboration with H&M is allowing us fashionistas to get our hands on infamous MARNI pieces!  This is a huge jump from beloved 2,500 dollar sweaters, dresses, pants, suits, etc.  I CAN'T WAIT!

 Bianca Balti fronts the new Dolce and Gabanna 2011 jewelry line in a lingerie inspired shoot.  Everything from the cat eyes to the gorgeous jewelry makes the buyer want to have one of everything.  I love that most of the line is gold, and especially love it with the dark stones incorporated. This sophisticated line is one for the books!

no shoes, JUST TIGHTS

 

As I was choosing my outfit out for the night, I realized that I had this dress in three different pattern variations.  I'm a stickler for keeping it simple- but I love making it stand out with color. I chose my handy-dandy red belt and paired it with earrings from Forever.  Feeling like a child, I love the feeling of lounging in just tights and a fun ensemble.  Don't you remember the days of running around refusing to leave your friend's {in my case, my grandparent's} home and put on your shoes?! That's how I've been feeling as I return to school and the unavoidable pile of homework...yet, my furry blanket and sex and the city is pulling me through. Enjoy the glimpse of my dorm room and happy three weeks till home!

 This entire week has been so fabulous.  I've been reunited with my best friends {thats to you dayna, anna, kate, and annie} and with all the others I graduated with.  Not only that, but my Dad returned home for the awaiting Debutante Ball tonight.  Twenty four hours of travel time later, my Dad was picked up from the airport- uniform and all.  I hope you have all enjoyed your thanksgiving break as much as I have! I'm incredibly lucky and grateful to have my wonderful parents, family, and friends always supporting me...but most of all I'm thankful for the Huskers beating Iowa!

How am I suppose to live without this perfect shoe?  The perfect color and fabric combinations. The perfect chunky heel, which also just happens to be the perfect height.  Let's not forget the festive bow on the toe- AMAZING.  Which color would you choose?

 I've never been one for strappies- but I love the combination of a closed toe and an open back.

Tory did it all right this year.  With the mix of patterns, fabrics, and heights- I loved every single pair in her collection.  For the past few years, I've invested in Tory flats and heels due to their wonderful fit and comfort.  Although expensive, they are a great investment!

Jeans- Anthropologie

I'm absolutely obsessed with glitter, sparkles, and anything that shines.  Today, I wore this sparkling beauty with jeans and a necklace (pictured directly above). When I got home to photograph it- I decided to pair it with my handy dandy leather skirt instead.  If you haven't noticed yet, I have a slight obsession with flats.  Slight may be a bit undramatic- they are my second skin. I find beauty in such a classic look- the flamboyant tee, dark washed jeans, and ballet flats.  When I purchased this skirt, it was the same for me: instant classic.  With this skirt's detailed back and overall chic look, you know you can pair it with even a basic tee and walk out the door with ease.
